United Nations’ Voices of African Mothers

Voices of African Mothers empowers young children in Kumasi, Ghana, through education. The student grantee is focusing on a community service project to prevent teen pregnancy, HIV/AIDS transmission and gender discrimination as well as promote education and women empowerment. She also works with John Williams Montessori School students on empowerment and sexual education. These initiatives address the educational needs of the community as well as allow the grant recipient to have an immersive, global health opportunity.
